In the Republic of Uzbekistan, great attention is paid to the development of mathematical models, methods and algorithms for the optimal management of water resources of main canals and other water management facilities in water transport based on the use of modern information technologies. The scientific works of scientists from other countries of the world with developed IT technology structures in the water transport industry are devoted to the issues of optimal management of water transport resources. Development of optimal management of water resources of large main canals with a cascade of pumping stations is an urgent and necessary task. In the article, the issues of optimal management of water resources are considered on the example of the Karshi main channel with a cascade of pumping stations. The main attention is focused on the development of optimal control criteria and methods, mathematical models and algorithms aimed at ensuring the conservation of water resources.
