SIMULATION OF CARGO TRANSPORTATION USING CONTAINER BLOCK TRAIN TECHNOLOGY

Аннотация

Purpose: The purpose of this work is to determine the economic and mathematical model of cargo transportation using block train technology. Design/methodology/approach: The author uses scientific methods of analysis and synthesis, classification, mathematical statistics, economic analysis, and mathematical technical modeling. The object of the study is the Tashkent- Tovarnaya railway freight station of the Uzbekistan Railways Joint Stock Company. Findings: With an increase in the reserve up to 15%, the idle time of containers on railway tracks increases by an average of 15.3 hours, but the idle time at the yards isreduced by 15.8 hours. Additional 30 minutes are saved by speeding up the sorting of containers during customer service. Originality/value: The resulting methodology makes it possible to predict the duration of the turnover of a block- train and is a kind of imitation of the Uzbek railway network from the point of view of starting a container block-train.
