Аннотация

Purpose: The purpose of this work is to develop a methodology for determining the high water level that forms during mudflows on temporary watercourses of foothill rivers. Methodology: The main method in developing this issue is the mathematical empirical approach. At the same time, variable parameters of their relationship were analyzed, such as: average household speed of water flow in the underbridge: acceleration of gravity; variable indicator of reduction of average speed: characterizing the maximum elevation of the crest of the water surface; coefficient of change in the impact of the shock wave of the flow depending on the average household speed; variable reduction indicator of the average household when determining the maximum ordinate of a high shock wave, etc. Obtaining calculated relationships between parameters was based on empirical connections. When relationships were identified, the least squares method was used. Findings: Based on the processing of field materials and on the existing connections between the parameters indicated above, a method for determining high levels of  mudflows in channels is proposed. The proposed calculation method was obtained for the conditions of foothill rivers of Uzbekistan. Originality: Based on the analysis and statistically measured field materials, empirical dependencies for determining the high water level in the channel necessary for the design of bridge crossings in mudflow channels of foothill rivers in Uzbekistan were obtained. The resulting methods make it possible to reduce funds for field survey work and increase the accuracy and reliability of the obtained materials.
