Sustainable Transport, A Critical Aspect Of Modern Transport Policy

Аннотация

The article examines current issues in the strategy of environmentally sustainable transport. One of the most important characteristics of modern transport policy is to reduce its negative impact on the environment and public health. This is especially true for the countries of Central Asia, which are located at the crossroads of the Great Silk Road and expect an increasing volume of transport between Europe and Asia. Thus, there is a need to develop strategies to create environmentally friendly and  efficient transport systems that can cope with increasing traffic flows of goods and passengers, while minimizing negative impacts on the environment and public health. It is also important to take into account the social and economic aspects of transport infrastructure development in order to ensure equitable access to transport services and promote sustainable development of the region as  a whole.
