LEXICAL-SEMANTIC PROBLEMS IN TRANSLATION OF ENGLISH AND UZBEK ECONOMIC TERMS

The article discusses lexical and semantic problems of translating economic terms from English into Uzbek. We consider the difficulties that arise when translating economic terms from English into Uzbek. The author notes that the terms in question have a clear and unambiguous meaning, which is often based on mathematical and statistical concepts. In this regard, when translating economic terms, it is important to take into account the lexical and semantic differences between the English and Uzbek languages. The author gives examples of specific lexical and semantic problems in translating economic terms from English into Uzbek. The results of the study showed that there is some general consistency of content between the original and translated sources. In addition, the second text preserved information that might be lost during the translation process, or most of the information transmitted. In conclusion, we conclude that translating economic terms is a complex task, requiring the translator to have deep knowledge of both English and Uzbek languages, as well as an understanding of the peculiarities of economic terminology.
