The purpose of this letter is to determine the main problems, which face foreign languages teachers of transport specialties at the technical Universities of Uzbekistan. According to the authors, teaching foreign languages for future specialties of the transport sector, has it’s own characteristics. Learning English for transport university students has it’s own difficulties. One of them is fluent communication in a foreign language. Second problem islack of understanding offoreign languages by ear.The third isforgetting foreign words. The fourth problem are difficulties in constructing sentences. The 5th problem is thinking in a foreign language. The authors also consider that there are some challenges connected with the essential skills of the language teaching as speaking, listening, reading and writing.
